Week 8 Update 🥑

Hi guys!! Long time no see! I haven't been able to update for a while because of many personal reasons, but I am back! In the last blog post, I learned about several new phrases and I have learned some more recently. I will talk about those in my week 9 and 10 updates. For this update, I learned about fruits because, why not. They were very easy to learn considering that many of them sound similar to their English names. The Korean names are just so cute in my opinion, I don't know why, hahaha.

I remember the first word I learned to spell was “아복카도” which stands for “avocado” 🥑. I was so proud that I could finally spell, and writing in another language does something to you. When I saw that I could write in Korean, I was so happy and it made me feel good about myself. It not only looks cool, but it makes you feel like an intellectual, which in my case isn't that often.

Anyways, so far in my journey, I have learned a lot. I did have a significant event that happened to me while I was taking a break, which prevented me from learning for a while. I know that isn't any excuse for me to not stay focus, but it happens; life just comes at you suddenly, and you have no clue how to handle some things. So, I wanted to go a little easy on myself for this week and decided to learn something fun and refreshing. This will also help me navigate through H Mart. Those of you who have been reading my blogs, know how much I love that place. I go there every weekend but recently I haven't been able to because of Ramadan etc. Also Happy Ramadan to my fellow Muslims!🌙 I wish you the best! Don't give up, because it will all be worth it at the end.

 Learning about the fruits made me feel more motivated because I did almost lose interest for a while. I am glad I chose this subject for my project because it was really fun and interesting. Learning something new boosted my confidence and made me come out of my shell and explore the possibilities.
