Week 3 Update 🌹

Image
My friend from Korea sent me this picture :) So I posted this blog, but it got deleted and I have no clue how :( I previously talked about my schedule that I made: - I am going to practice every day for 2 hours at the most. - I will also face time my friend every day or whenever she has the time. ( she agreed that we could facetime every day for the most part. So I am not forcing her or anything, lol). - Right now I am going to start on the grammar and vocabulary part. Hopefully, I do not have too many problems with them. I haven't come across any major difficulties or failures. Also, I called my friend the other day, and she complimented my Korean accent. That made me really happy because it made me feel like I made some progress. It's the little things that matter to me :) I will manage my time better starting this week because I didn't have as much time to learn a lot of the grammar. I will definitely work hard this weekend, and try to learn as muc...

Week 2 update πŸ₯˜

I haven't learned a lot of new information. I was really busy this week, but I set goals for myself. I am going to make a schedule to help me be more organized. I have been practicing pronouncing the words a lot lately. If I saw something In Korean I would try to read it and make sense of it. I know some vocabulary already but not nearly as much as I should. This weekend, I went to H-mart, which is an Asian store, and I bought some Korean food. I was able to pronounce the food that I ordered so well, that the lady at the counter was surprised! She asked me if I knew what it was and I said yes and she seemed really surprised. That made me feel a little proud of myself, I don't know why. The fact that I could pronounce it like a native made me feel a little accomplished :) I will be updating tomorrow too, so stay tuned!  This was what I ordered. It is called 떑볢이! (tteokbokki)

Another Brief Introduction ⭐️

Hi guys! So I have touched on this topic (I am about to explain) a little bit, but I feel like I need to go more in depth about it. So, I along with others, have been an assigned a 10-week project, called the 20% project. We had to make a Shark Tank pitch based on our topic and present it to three judges, (teachers). I was honestly very nervous because the presentation was timed and we had to get certain information through to our judges. I felt like I did good, but I could've done better in appealing more to the judges. I know what you are thinking, 'Why in the world would you choose to learn a language in such a short time?' Well, the answer is that I wanted to challenge myself. I have been wanting to learn Korean for a while now, but I never got the chance to just sit down and learn. School, as you all know, is very stressful, so I didn't really have the time to get around it. This project is a perfect excuse, for me to learn Korean because I really am passionate a...

The Beginning 🚢🏻‍♀️

I will try to upload and share my progress with you as much as I can. Also sorry for the video being sideways :( It is my first time here, so I do not know how to operate it that well. I will make sure that this doesn't happen next time.
